Anne-Marie van de Grint -  viool

Anne-Marie studeerde viool aan de Conservatoria van Amsterdam, Tilburg en Maastricht. Ze is actief in diverse klassieke ensembles en orkesten. Zo is ze concertmeester van Brabant Sinfonia en vervangend concertmeester in het Zeeuws Orkest. Daarnaast speelt Anne-Marie in het Aulos Consort en het Quartetto Claro (strijkkwartet).
Haar passie voor de Argentijnse tango begon in 1991 toen ze gevraagd werd voor trio Típico Tango. Later maakte ze ook deel uit van tango-orkest OTRA. Met Daniel Fanego y Amigos bracht zij een uitgebreid Latijns-Amerikaans repertoire. Vanaf 2007 geeft ze concerten met Grupo del Sur, waarvan ze tevens de oprichtster is.

Anne-Marie studied violin at the Amsterdam, Tilburg and Maastricht Conservatories of Music. She currently plays in various ensembles and orchestras. She is concertmaster for the Brabant Synfonia Orchestra and she is also vice concertmaster for the "Zeeuws Orchestra”. She plays with the Aulos Consort and the String quartet "Quartetto Claro".
She became interested in the Argentinian tango in 1991 when she joined the Trio "Tipico Tango". Later she was asked to play in the Tango-orchestra "OTRA". She played an extensive South American repetoire together with "Daniel Fanego y Amigos". Anne-Marie has been performing with Grupo del Sur from 2007, and she's also the founder of Grupo del Sur.

Matías Pedrana - bandoneon 

Matías begon zijn muzikale opleiding in Argentinië toen hij dertien was. Daar voltooide hij de opleiding van de Universidad Nacional de Rosario als dwarsfluitist. In 2000 verhuisde hij naar Europa om zijn muzikale carrière voort te zetten en besloot bandoneon te gaan studeren. Hij haalde zijn bandoneon diploma in het Codarts Conservatorium (Rotterdam) in 2008.
Als bandoneonist heeft hij met bekende musici en ensembles samengewerkt o.a.:
“Orquesta Tipica OTRA”, “Guardia Cadenera”, “Nueva Manteca”, “Motion Unlimited Cinematic Orchestra”, ”Het Gelders Orkest”, “Tango Extremo”, Ben Van Den Dungen en “Septetoscopio”. Met enkele van deze ensembles heeft hij door de wereld gereisd en in toonaangevende festivals gespeeld. Hij deed mee aan CD opnames bij het Gotan Project en Tango Extremo.

Matias  was thirteen years old when he began studying music in Argentina. He achieved his diploma as flautist at the National University of Rosario. He emigrated to Europe in 2000 and decided to concentrate on playing the bandoneon. In 2008 he was awarded a diploma in bandoneon playing from the Rotterdam Codarts Conservatory. He has played with many  established ensembles including: "Orquesta Tipica OTRA", "Guardia Cadenera" , "Nueva Manteca", "Motion Unlimited Cinematic Orchestra", "Het gelders Orchestra""Tango Extremo",  Ben Van Den Dungen, and "Septetoscopio". He has travelled world-wide with several of these ensembles, partcipating in leading music festivals.  He also played in the CD recordings of the Gotan Project and Tango Extreem.

Paul Hagenaars - elektrische gitaar 

Paul heeft als uitgangspunt het spelen van gecomponeerde en geïmproviseerde muziek op zowel klassieke als elektrische gitaar. Hierbij gaat zijn interesse vooral uit naar jazz, Braziliaanse en Cubaanse muziek. 
Hij werkt met Tom America (eigentijdse muziek) en Maurice Leenaars (flamenco-gitarist) en speelt “kamermuziekjazz“ in een trio met contrabas en trompet, waar hij ook voor schrijft. Paul is als docent verbonden aan het Fontys Conservatorium en Factorium Tilburg.

Paul is especially interested in newly composed and improvised playing in both classical and electric guitar. His favourite genres are Jazz, Brazilian and Cuban music. He works with Tom America (contemporary music) en Maurice Leenaars (Flamenco gitarist) and plays and composes in a trio "Chamber music Jazz"  with Double bass and trumpet. He also teaches at the Fontys Conservatorium and Factorium in Tilburg, the Netherlands.

Ivo de Greef - piano 

Ivo behaalde zijn meestergraad als pianist aan het Brusselse Conservatorium bij Jan Michiels. Nadien bekwaamde hij zich verder bij Philip Martin (Birmingham Conservatoire) en legde hij zich toe op tangomuziek aan gespecialiseerde afdelingen van conservatoria in Rotterdam en Parijs.
Door zijn brede en eclectische smaak raakte Ivo betrokken bij allerhande muzikale projecten van uiteenlopende aard. Hij werkte samen met uitmuntende musici waaronder Frederic Rzewski, Misia, Henri Demarquette, Joe Broughton, Keith Lewis en Evan Parker. Hij was vaak te horen op Europese radiostations zoals BBC, Classic FM, Klara, Antena 2 en Radio France. Ivo profileert zich als solist, momenteel met zijn eigen “Tribute to Keith Jarrett” en “Leftitude” projecten, maar is ook actief in de ensembles Noszferatu en El Después, met optredens op toonaangevende internationale festivals in Europa, de USA, Japan en Zuid-Amerika.

Ivo started playing the piano at the age of six. After obtaining a Master of Music degree at the Brussels Conservatoire (where he studied with Jan Michiels), he moved to the UK to further his studies with Philip Martin at the Birmingham Conservatoire and spend two years specialising in tango music at the Rotterdam Conservatoire with Gustavo Beytelmann and the Conservatoire Edgar Varèse in Paris with Juan José Mosalini.
His wide and eclectic taste has led him to be involved in different projects across various genres of music. Ivo has collaborated with artists such as Frederic Rzewski, Misia, Henri Demarquette, Joe Broughton and Keith Lewis and has featured regularly on European radio stations (BBC, Classic FM, Klara, Antena 2, Radio France…). He performs both as a soloist (currently with his own “Tribute to Keith Jarrett” project and “Leftitude”) and as part of different ensembles (Noszferatu, El Después) at major venues and festivals throughout Europe, the USA, Japan and South America.
Ivo also appeared in the musical line-up to the 2002 award-winning West-End play “Humble Boy” by Catherine Jones and was Musical Director of the London Tango Orchestra.

Marc van Rooij - contrabas 

Marc speelt jazz in o.a. het Rob van Bavel Trio (Edison CD 'Rob van Bavel Trio', North Sea Jazzfestival, tournee China). Als klassiek bassist  speelde hij o.a. in Het Brabants Orkest, Nederlands Philharmonisch Orkest en Orkest van het Oosten. In het theater speelde hij in de shows van Toon Hermans, Robert Long en Mini & Maxi. 
Verder is hij werkzaam als arrangeur, natuurlijk voor Grupo del Sur maar ook voor o.a. Miranda van Kralingen, Sinfonietta Amsterdam, het Residentie Orkest en div. big bands. Hij is als hoofdvakdocent verbonden aan het Fontys Conservatorium Tilburg.

Marcs' work has included playing with the Rob van Bavel Trio (Edison CD "Rob van Bavel"Trio, North Sea Jazz festival, a tour of China). He has also played classical Double bass for the Brabants Orchestra, The Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra and the "Orkest van het Oosten" (East- Netherlands Orchestra). He has also played in theatre productions of Toon Hermans, Robert Long and Mini and Maxi.
He  arranges a diversity of music, not only for Grupo del Sur but also Miranda van Kralingen, Sinfonietta Amsterdam,  "Het residentie orkest" and several Big bands. He is also currently teaching at the Fontys Conservatorium in Tilburg , the Netherlands.
